Exterior

The exterior monogram canvas is in good condition with minor signs of handling. The red leather bottom and side panels show light creasing and faint surface marks. The leather top handle and shoulder strap are generally well-preserved with minor signs of use.

Corners

Minor rubbing and slight softening are present on the bottom corners of the red leather.

Hardware

The prominent gold-tone lock mechanism on the front flap displays visible surface scratches and some loss of plating, particularly on the interior plate where the lock engages. The padlock itself has light scratches. Other gold-tone hardware, including the strap attachments and snap buttons, shows light wear consistent with use.

Handle / strap

The top handle is firm with minimal wear. The adjustable leather shoulder strap exhibits light creasing and minor marks from adjustment and use, but remains strong and functional.

Edge / glazing

There are minor cracks and breaks in the black edge paint along the red leather components, especially noticeable on the side edges and flap trim.

Interior

The red suede-like interior lining shows general signs of use, including some slight discoloration and press marks, particularly on the underside of the flap where the lock plate rests.
